Solar panels, a home battery or an EV charger. Whatever you choose, we make sure everything works together smartly and fits your energy use. Want to expand later? We take that into account: your system simply grows with you. That way you use more of your own power and depend less on the grid. Choose smart home energy and save on your energy bill.

The smartest solution for you depends on your home, your energy use and your plans for later. That is why we start with personal advice, right at your kitchen table. We look at your situation and assess what you can save.

  • No savings needed to choose smart energy

You don't have to dip into your savings to choose smart energy. With a sustainable loan you spread the investment, while the solar panels, for example, are simply yours. Smart all round.

  • Worry-free installation from start to tidy finish

From the first advice to the installation. We make sure everything is right and works perfectly, and we guide you step by step. So you can quickly and hassle-free benefit from smart energy from your own roof.

  • A good choice for your energy bill and your home's value

With smart energy you invest in more than a lower energy bill. It raises the value of your home, partly through a better energy label. A smart investment for now and for later.

  1. Advice that fits your situation

We simply pull up a chair at your kitchen table. That is where it starts. We look at your home, your energy use and what matters to you. And how you can keep benefiting from smart power when net metering ends. Quick insight and honest advice, so you know exactly where you stand.

  2. Know exactly where you stand

After the advice call you receive a quote by email. Not just the costs, but also what you can save, when you will roughly earn back the investment and how we get the most out of smart energy for you. Everything you need to make the right choice with confidence.

  3. Smart energy made as simple as possible

Installing solar panels, a home battery, heat pump or EV charger is more than fitting equipment. Sometimes other things still need arranging, like an energy contract, financing or upgrading your fuse box. We are happy to help with that. We take most of it off your hands and sort out the rest together.

  4. Worry-free installation from start to tidy finish

Before installation we check that everything is ready for a safe fit. Then we install the equipment neatly to all regulations. We show you how the system works and can answer questions on the spot. And when we are done, we leave everything tidy again.

  5. No maintenance, just properly set up

A modern home battery does not need periodic maintenance. If the system is installed properly, it then simply does its job and a technician does not come by for a maintenance visit. The battery monitors itself and we run updates remotely. And solving a fault? That is just service with us.

Maybe you have been thinking about solar panels, a home battery or a heat pump for a while, but you are not sure where to begin. Understandable, because smart energy sometimes seems more complicated than it is. Luckily, it really is not. In a few steps we show how we arrange smart energy at your home together.

Without a battery you probably send a large share of the power you generate during the day back to the grid. With a home battery you keep that energy for later: for frying eggs tomorrow morning or a whole Sunday of gaming. That way you use more of your own power and depend less on high energy prices and the grid. Which home battery fits best differs per home and usage.

  • Store generated power you do not use straight away
  • Charge your battery as soon as grid power is cheap
  • Feed back when the grid is busy
  • Use power from your battery when electricity is expensive

Home battery savings

€300 - €800

With a smart home battery you can save €300 to €800 a year on average. Sometimes even more. How much exactly depends on your energy use, the battery and your energy contract. You save by storing cheap power and using even more of the power you generate yourself. The payback period is between 8 and 12 years.

Net metering ends

2027

On 1 January 2027 the net metering scheme ends. What you feed back can then no longer be offset against what you take from the grid. That makes it smart to get even more out of the power you generate yourself. With a home battery you keep the power you do not need during the day for a later moment. That way you buy less power.

Buy power smartly

€0.19/KWH

The power price changes every hour. Combined with a dynamic energy contract, your home battery can play that smartly: buy and store power when the price is low and use that cheap power later, when the price is higher. Get extra value by using power when it is cheap, for example when the sun is shining.

Frequently asked questions

What does a home battery cost?

The cost of a home battery depends on the storage capacity, the brand and your personal situation. A complete system including installation is available from €5,445. In a personal advice session we first look at what makes sense for your home and which solution fits your energy use best.

Can I choose a home battery without solar panels?

Yes. You can also charge the battery during cheap hours with a dynamic energy contract and use that power later, when electricity is more expensive. We advise what fits your situation.

Is a home battery a good choice when net metering ends?

Often it is. Once net metering ends, it becomes more attractive to keep your own power. A battery pays off most if you use a lot in the evening, have a heat pump or EV charger, or want to be more self-sufficient. We look at your usage and your solar panels and tell you honestly whether it pays off.

Save with a dynamic energy contract from Frank Energie

The electricity price changes every hour. Combined with a dynamic energy contract, your home battery can respond smartly: buy and store power when the price is low and use that cheap power later, when the price is higher. You can set this up manually, but many batteries handle it automatically. That way you save even more on your energy bill.
