The financial benefits of solar panels

What solar panels save you: a lower energy bill, favourable Warmtefonds financing, net metering and often a higher home value.

Solar panels lower your energy bill because you generate your own power. On top of that there is favourable financing, schemes that apply, and panels often make your home more attractive.

The financial benefits of solar panels

Save on your energy bill right away

With solar panels you buy less power from your supplier. What you generate and use during the day, you don't pay for. What you feed back is settled through net metering while the scheme applies. Your monthly amount can drop noticeably.

Customers who have SolarFast install panels save around € 1,400 per year on their energy bill on average. That depends on your use and system size, but gives a realistic picture of what to expect.

Favourable financing via the Warmtefonds

You don't always have to make the investment in one go. Through the national Warmtefonds you can finance home improvements, including solar panels, on favourable terms. You spread the cost while already saving on your bill.

On our solar panels page we explain how Warmtefonds financing works and what you need to apply. No down payment at SolarFast: you pay after installation.

More value for your home

A house with solar panels and low energy costs appeals to buyers. A better energy label and a lower monthly bill are concrete plus points at sale. Panels are not only a saving, but also an investment in your home.

Payback period and warranty

Most systems we install pay back in about five years on average. After that you mainly benefit from lower energy costs. The panels themselves typically last 25 years or more, with a performance warranty from the manufacturer.

In your quote we calculate payback based on your actual use and roof. No fixed promise, but figures tailored to your situation.

What it means for you

How much you save depends on your use, your roof and the rates and schemes of the moment. Because those figures change, we prefer to calculate it for your situation rather than promise a fixed amount.
